The History of Knorr Associates Inc. (1979-2013)
Founded in 1979, as an EH&S consulting
firm, Knorr Associates Inc. was one of the first
companies to provide EH&S computing solutions. In the
1980s, the company developed computer interfaces for
industrial hygiene instruments and offered its first
multi-user, modular EH&S software program based on the
UNIX operating system. It used an enhanced PC as a
server with terminals as workstations. When DataPipe was
first released it was debuted as the very first complete
EH&S software solution for managing and reporting on
EH&S data.
In 1989, this evolved into DataPipe
(TM), the first Windows-base EH&S data
management system. Since then, DataPipe has been
implemented at countless locations, worldwide. The
company also provides related training and application
consulting services supporting clients in the areas of
data collection, analysis and reporting.
To this day, DataPipe continues to lead
the way in EH&S information management software. No one
covers EH&S like we do.
